Guide for newbees?

Excuse me I am a total newbee w.r.t. Janus but would like to start experimenting with it with the goal to enable simple peer-to-peer calls for just two users. I am not interested in building a full-fledged custom application.

I am wondering what are the minimum system and network requirements to setup a Janus server and enable WebRTC for clients. I do have around a small VPS on the public internet and also some “thicker” systems in my local network (behind NAT or proxies, i.e. higher latency and lower bandwidth) and am looking for information what is the better route to try. Is a local TURN install as indicated in https://groups.google.com/g/meetecho-janus/c/lvMEvBYWHF8 recommended?

Moreover I do have a preference for docker over native installs and would like to understand any caveats. I noticed at least to different variants (not allowed to put links in my first post) and they appear to differ in how and what ports they expose.
