AV Sync issues observed in some cases after converting mjr files

Hi,
I am facing AV Sync issues in the videos which are being generated from mjr. So I found that clients were having bad internet connection intermittently which caused av sync issues.
Attached some screenshot for mjr files which faced issues after conversion.

For the above example I found that there exist issue in between the recording. I am currently using the restamping feature with following parameters
-n 10 -c 20 -r 10
But I think this didn’t solved the complete problem yet. Can we determine any way by which this can be fixed?

@lorenzo @atoppi any suggestions about how can we optimize this further

It’s difficult to help without having the recording.
You seem to experience a huge jitter spike at ~130secs, but we don’t know if there exist other issues. If losses or clock issues are not involved, then pp-rec should produce the correct output without extra parameters, since it will basically absorb all the jitter issues being off-line post processed.

Restamping could not be the right tool here, it is useful when the RTP clock suddenly diverges from real time because e.g. the source paused and then restarted by not updating the RTP timestamps.

Also One more question how can we identify through some conditions that whether re-stamping is required or not for particular mjr files

pp-rec will print a warning if something about the timestamps is off.

But for automating that part is there any method available as currently I can’t handle any situation whether restamping is required for those mjr files or not because I have used one generic method of converting mjr files directly without using any additional flags. My objective is to dynamically apply restamping if required do those mjr files

@atoppi any suggestions on this

No there is no way to automate it.
