[VideoRoom] AudioLevel events emitted to subscriber?

I’m trying to use the audiolevel_events config on the videoroom plugin to detect if the publisher is speaking and notify subscribers. Since they are not regarded as participants, do subscribers still receive the event if audiolevel_eventsis activated?

All signalling (presence, talking, etc.) events are sent on the publisher handle, whether you’re actually publishing or not. You won’t get those events on the subscriber handle, which means that even if you’re only going to receive stuff, you’ll need to open a handle to join as a (potential) publisher, which you’ll normally need to be notified about participants as they come and go anyway. If you have your own out-of-band mechanism for notifying participants to subscribe to, you can do something similar for talking events too, e.g., create a single publisher handle in an application server just to receive those events (including talking/stopped-talking) and from there distribute those events to your subscribers your own way.
