Janus high video age with dropped udp packets

Hey I’m running Janus in a docker container and I have about 6800 cameras and growing. Initially after being setup the solution worked perfectly but, as time went by and cameras got added the worst video performance got. It went from working, to working sometimes, to not working at all now. None of my cameras are displaying any video. When doing a tcpdump from the client to Janus I can see packets leaving but only 4 packets reach Janus. I have made no network changes so I’m confused about the dropped packets. I’m also seeing a very high video age for all streams I initiate which tells me Janus believes its receiving video correct?

I’ve attached some screenshots with my findings, please let me know if you have any advice and how I can resolve my current issue.

6800 is a lot of cameras, especially if there are viewers for those too. That’s a lot of threads (for the Streaming mountpoints) and a lot of potential traffic. You’ll probably have to tweak some settings in Janus, like event loops, possibly helper threads for mountpoints, and check if you exposes enough ports for RTP. Using more than one Janus instance is probably a better idea, if you have that many cameras to handle.
