Audio Bridge Demo Not Working on iPhone with T-Mobile

Hello,

We are evaluating Janus for use in an audio project and have attempted to test it using the Audio Bridge Demo available on the Janus site. For most of us in the test, this worked great, but we had two users who were both on iPhones on T-Mobile and not on WiFi who showed up to the rest of us with the “No Peer Connection” icon next to their name and then they were kicked out of the demo. We are trying to figure out if this is a T-Mobile/iPhone issue or something else. These same users tried again on WiFi and the demo page worked. We had other users in our test on iPhones on different cell networks without issue. Has anyone experienced something similar? We were hoping to use the Demo page as a proving ground before proceeding.

Thanks for your time and any insight you can provide!

It’s probably an ICE failure. Our online demos don’t provide a TURN server, so if those iPhone users do need one because of constraints in the network, then the demos won’t be accessible to them. I’d encourage you to set up your own Janus instance and demos: that way you can add TURN servers to the demo configuration, if you want, and more importantly you can inspect the Admin API for debugging when things like ICE failures or other problems happen. Should you need help on all these things, you can get in touch with our commercial team via contact form on our website.

Thanks for the reply Lorenzo! We will plan on moving forward and setting up our own server and go from there.
